12,000 customers without power in Metro Detroit

DETROIT – DTE Energy said there are 12,000 customers without power in their Southeast Michigan service area.

There were 15,000 outages, but 3,000 customers have had their power restored, DTE said.

More than 1,700 customers are without power in Milford. More than 1,800 customers are affected in Pontiac. There are more than 1,500 customers affected between Berkley and Clawson.

The Local 4Casters said scatted thunderstorms are expected throughout the area. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued in Wayne County.
