MEDIC BLOOD DRIVE: 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Greene County Fair Gates 1 & 2, 123 Fairgrounds Rd., Greeneville; 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. at Comcare, 100 Pennsylvania Ave., inside the conference room. All donors receive a free admission ticket to any day of the fair, a free t-shirt, coupons for a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich and a free Texas Roadhouse appetizer.

COMMODITY DISTRIBUTION: will be held at the Rogersville National Guard Armory Building, located at 208 Frontage Rd., Rogersville (off of U.S. Highway 11W), 10:15 a.m.-noon or earlier if food is no longer available. Items are distributed on a first-come-first-served basis to income-eligible households until all commodities are gone. Volunteers may be available to help the elderly and disabled to carry their commodities. Residents must show a green-colored commodity I.D. card in order to pick up their commodities. An I.D. card application can be obtained from the local Neighborhood Service Center. Cards may be obtained on distribution day, but must be filed before commodities are distributed.
