A professionally qualified accountant has been chosen to lead the Lancashire School of Business and Enterprise.
The University of Central Lancashire has appointed Professor Chris Pyke as dean of the school, which has been created from the merging of the School Management and the School of Business.
He has previously held senior roles at Manchester Metropolitan University and Liverpool John Moores University.
Pyke said: “I am passionate about higher education and its ability to transform people’s lives and develop successful careers. I want to create a new school that is innovative and entrepreneurial, that delivers excellent business education programmes and supports local businesses.
“Over the coming months we will be working closely with employers to ensure we develop relevant programmes which produce graduates who meet their expectations and business needs. I want to ensure that we give as many people as possible the chance to change their lives by studying at the Lancashire School of Business and Enterprise.”
