Brazen criminals have direct links to South American drug trade and sex-trafficking networks
ALBANIAN criminals in the UK are flaunting their wealth by posing for selfies alongside thousands of pounds in cash.
The swaggering crooks from the impoverished Balkans nation post the snaps on social media to boast of their fortunes to pals back home.
Some have also been photographing themselves after successfully sneaking into this country.
Britain’s National Crime Agency has branded the influx “a significant threat” due to the crooks’ direct drugs links to South America and sex-trafficking networks.
It said: “Albanian crime groups have established a high-profile influence within UK organised crime.”
Among those seen in pics is Olsi Beheluli, of Harrow, North West London — now serving 11 years’ jail for possession of heroin and cocaine with a £4million street value.
A photo of the 24-year-old “actor” surrounded by an estimated £250,000 was discovered by police.
Ferrari-driving Luan Plakici, serving 23 years for smuggling in 60 women for prostitution, is seen on a sofa holding a bundle of notes.
Ardi Beshiri, jailed when cocaine was found in his socks, posed with a pile of cash on his shoulder.
Another image showed Bes Besiaj trying to “eat” a wad of notes.
