QUEZON CITY, Aug. 6 — “They are those who dared to dream, and proved that with grit and passion, dreams do come true.”
About a hundred youth social entrepreneurs from the ASEAN Member States are expected to arrive today, at the Sofitel Hotel Manila to participate in the two-day ASEAN Youth Social Entrepreneurship Awards (AYSEA) and Conference.
With the theme, “Mobilizing Impactful Disruption”, the event also brings together the first batch of AYSEA awardees representing Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam who will share their insights and success stories on how they turned their dreams into reality.
National Youth Commission (NYC) Chairperson, Usec Aiza Seguerra is set to welcome the delegations as they gear up for the conference that highlights panel discussions on The Significance of Social Entrepreneurship in the context of ASEAN and Bridging the Ecosystem (corporate foundations, government investors, non-government organizations) and workshop on Oblique Strategies and Solutions.
The awarding ceremonies on August 7 with the ASEAN Deputy Secretary General for ASEAN Socio Cultural Community (ASCC) and H.E. Vongthep Arthakaivalvatee as Guest of Honor caps the two-day event. (NYC)
