Tech jobs are moving out of Silicon Valley and into other cities.
The Asheville-based life sciences company charted in at No. 162, and No. 13 among top health companies, in a list highlighting 5,000 businesses throughout the United States. Now in its 10th year of operations, Avadim reported $6.3 million in revenue last year and three-year growth of 2,537 percent.
Avadim moved up 72 spots from when it was included in the Inc. list last year.
Chairman and CEO Stephen Woody said in a news release this week Avadim is “honored” to be selected to the list, noting it looks forward to “continued growth and innovation.”
“This accomplishment is a testament to the team, business model, strategy, and proprietary technology we have in place at Avadim,” Woody said.
Adavim is the highest-ranked Asheville company — and the second-ranked company in the state behind Power Home Solar in Mooresville — on the magazine’s list.
Other Asheville-based companies on the list include Blueprint Summer Programs, Cloud for Good, Plasticard Locktech International, Aeroflow Healthcare, MedStream Anesthesia PLCC and The Cheat Sheet.

This month, Avadim launched its latest product, Theraworx Relief, a foam or spray that can be applied to prevent muscle cramps and spasms, the company’s website says.
Some of its other offerings include pHUEL, said to relieve sore legs and muscle spasms in athletes; Combat One, a series of skincare products; and Theraworx.
