Three months ago Bellator MMA and Monster Energy held their first-ever co-branded event for NASCAR fans at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. Now, they’re set to do it again.
Bellator recently announced the second event in the Monster Energy series will take place on Aug. 19, 2017, at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. The non-televised action is expected to happen between 4-5:30 p.m. ET at Earhart Campground right next to the raceway (card and time are both subject to change)
Before the fights (from 3-4 p.m. ET) both Phil “Mr. Wonderful” Davis and mixed martial arts (MMA) legend Dan “Hendo” Henderson will be at the Monster Energy Fan Zone to meet fans and sign autographs. Bellator President Scott Coker is excited to be bringing the Monster Energy series back in Concord.
“Bellator’s partnership with Monster Energy has opened the door for many new and exciting opportunities. The Monster Energy Bellator MMA Fight Series allows us to share our brand of entertainment with an entirely different fan base. Following the success and feedback of the first event in May, we are thrilled to work together with Hans Molenkamp, Aaron Quesada and the entire Monster Energy team again to bring Bellator MMA action to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in Bristol.”
