DeStefano Architects welcomes Alexander Monteforte

PORTSMOUTH — DeStefano Architects announced Alexander Monteforte was recently hired as an intern architect for the firm.

Monteforte is a recent graduate of Keene State College with a bachelor of science in architecture. At Keene State College he was the Student Government Speaker of Assembly, which benefits his presentation abilities. He was also a member of the Society of Architecture Students.

He previously interned at a large firm in Boston where he was a member of the design team responsible for the renovation and redesign of Logan Airport. Monteforte’s prior experience and design skills will be a valuable asset to D|A’s portfolio of commercial projects.

Blue Water Mortgage adds to team

HAMPTON — Blue Water Mortgage Corporation, an independent mortgage broker serving Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut, welcomed Amy Pocsik as a new loan officer and promoted Kristina Young to events/marketing manager and senior loan officer.   

Pocsik received her undergraduate degree in accounting from UMass Amherst and went on to receive her master’s in accounting from Bentley University. Before joining Blue Water Mortgage, she worked as a certified public accountant and brings more than a decade of financial experience to the team.

Pocsik is licensed in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire. As a Massachusetts native, she will be focusing primarily on the real estate market in her home state, providing an empathetic and organized approach to each and every one of her client relationships.

Young has been with Blue Water Mortgage since 2012 and will now be using her talents to promote the company’s name throughout the New England. Kennebunk Savings names new officers

KENNEBUNK, Maine — Kennebunk Savings Bank announced Dawn Robinson has taken on the role of chief information officer.

Robinson has been at Kennebunk Savings since 1994 and has played an integral role in technological developments and advancements in the Information Technology Department.

Robinson has held other positions within the bank, including chief technology officer and IT manager and network administration officer. She is currently finishing her second year at the Wharton’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

A community volunteer, Robinson has worked with the Animal Welfare Society, delivered Meals on Wheels and most recently joined the board of York County Community College. She lives in Wells with her family.

Kennebunk Savings also announced Maureen Flaherty joined its staff as the bank’s chief marketing officer. She will be responsible for overseeing the Marketing and Corporate Communications departments, developing new digital strategies, and guiding the organization through its strategic objectives.

Flaherty comes to Kennebunk Savings with significant experience as a branding and marketing executive. Her most recent roles include senior director of multi-channel marketing at Banfield Pet Hospital, a division of Mars, Inc. in Portland, Oregon, and also most recently was a senior product manager at IDEXX. Prior to these positions, she spent many years working as agency vice president for eROI, a digital marketing agency in Portland, Oregon, and also as an account executive for FutureBrand in New York City.

A Kennebunk resident, Flaherty graduated from Penn State University, and has advised numerous nonprofits on their marketing programs.
