New Delhi, September 7:
Asserting that the GSTN portal’s functioning has been sub-optimal, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has demanded its “Third-party Technology Audit”.
Simultaneously, there is also a need for the government to undertake a “on-the-ground survey” of trade associations to better understand 60 days of GST regime in India, CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal told BusinessLine here.
“Forget their claim of the GSTN portal being able to handle 300 crore B2B invoices every month, the portal crashes and is not able to now handle even a load of 50 lakh invoices,” he said.
The feedback received from any on-the-ground survey would help the government understand the practical difficulties and soon take remedial actions, he added.
