Career fair on ‘Opportunities for Job and Entrepreneurship’ held

LEH: The District Employment and Counselling Centre LAHDC Leh, in collaboration with National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) organised a career fair on ‘Opportunities for Job and Entrepreneurship’ here at Elizer Joldan Memorial College on Saturday.
Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC Leh, Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo was the Chief Guest while Executive Councillor Education, Dorjey Motup was the Guest of Honour. Principal EJM Leh, Deskyong Namgyal, Young Ladakhi Entrepreneurs, students and experts from various fields were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, CEC Dr. Dawa said that the youths of Ladakh should stress on venturing towards grabbing opportunities lying in different sectors of the society.
Talking about the prevailing booming tourism sector in Leh, CEC warned about its sustainability and therefore stressed on opening land based economy and explore ample of untapped natural resources.
EC Dorjey Motup encouraged the students to work hard and study with dedication to achieve their goal in life.
Earlier, Deputy Director DECS Leh welcomed the guests and briefed about the main objectives of the programme and gave life examples the encouragement of the students.
On the occasion, various experts and entrepreneurs gave valuable tips and shared experiences and guided the students with the lessons learnt.
