“I will always have her back, but I’ve been getting so much abuse online,” Charlotte Dawson said in an interview with New! magazine.
Charlotte, who is in the new Celebs Go Dating line-up, claims that Jemma doesn’t realise how badly she comes across in the reality show.
“People ask me how I can be friends with her” said Charlotte.
“She goes too far sometimes. I told her before she went in to keep her cool.”
The 24 year old’s words of advice clearly went in one ear and out of the other, as Jemma has become infamous for her blazing rows with fellow CBB housemates, and has often been accused of bullying.
“I don’t agree with some things that she’s done but I will tell her”, she told the magazine.
Stephen Bear’s ex claims neither Charlotte Crosby or Bear are faithful to one another with a scathing tweet
But according to Charlotte, Jemma isn’t intentionally nasty, saying: “She doesn’t actually mean to hurt people’s feelings.”
The reality stars met on Ex On The Beach and have stayed firm friends ever since — at one point even faking a lesbian relationship.
The daughter of the late comedian Les Dennis said that Jemma finds it hard to form new friendships.
“She doesn’t trust many people. She’s just very wary of people because of her upbringing. She’s just a lost soul and doesn’t really have anyone but she knows she can trust me.”
Charlotte also blames Jemma’s bad childhood for the reason that she’s so aggressive, but claims she’s not violent, so Sarah Harding doesn’t need to worry.
“She’ll just throw something. She’d never hit Sarah.”
Charlotte and Jemma have never had a bust up, but the make-up artist admits that Jemma’s “not the type of person you want to get on the wrong side of.”
Although Charlotte says being friends with Jemma is tough, she’s quick to defend her pal, arguing: “She’s just saying what everyone else thinks. She has no filter.”
