Texas Tech update: The Red Raiders are averaging 54 points after wins against Eastern Washington and Arizona State. … QB Nic Shimonek has thrown for 927 yards and nine touchdowns and no interceptions. … WR Keke Coutee had 12 catches for 186 yards in 52-45 win over Arizona State and leads nation with 142.5 yards per game. Tech trails in the series but has won six of the last seven meetings.

Houston update: The Cougars have a 16-game home winning streak, the longest in the nation. … QB Kyle Allen leads the nation in completion percentage (86.2).
