It’s August, and for many people that means it’s time to buy some back to school gear, and luckily you can expect some major sales.
From school supplies to clothes, and even backpacks, consumers can expect to see back to school sales in the month of August. If you are looking to avoid that back to school rush, don’t discount online shopping for what you need. Just be sure consider the shipping time, so your products arrive before you need them.
For some non-school related savings, patio furniture is usually on sale this time of year. Now that summer is wrapping up, many businesses are trying to make room for products more popular in the fall and winter.
Laptops are generally priced lower this month compared to July, whether you need one for school or home, consider your needs and ask about any upcoming sales before making your purchase.
And the big one, Oklahoma’s tax free weekend. The Oklahoma sales tax holiday will apply to clothing and shoes that are under 100-dollars, but you should know that this special does not apply to athletic shoes or clothing. Still, a potentially good deal if people have a lot of back to school clothing to buy.
That tax free weekend starts this Friday and ends on Sunday August 6th. For a list of what is included and what’s not in the tax free weekend you can click here.
