EDII to impart training to 5,000 youths

The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) launched a project to train over 5,000 youths, including people from the underprivileged and weaker sections of the society, in entrepreneurship, over the next two years.

While EDII has designed the project, it will be implemented with support from Ahmedabad West MP Dr Kirit Solanki. Solanki would adopt Por, Barejadi and Kamboi villages in Ahmedabad for the same.

EDII said that it will organise awareness and sensitisation camps for 2,000 students with science and technology background as a part of the project. Simultaneously, it will conduct especially-designed entrepreneurship development programmes for 5,000 youths so that they acquire training and are able to set up their own enterprises.

At the launch of the project on Wednesday, Solanki said that training centres will be opened at various locations in and around Ahmedabad to train people for creation of new enterprises.
