Ensworth’s Jaylon King is headed to the ACC.
King, a two-way player for the Tigers, announced his commitment to Georgia Tech on his Twitter account on Thursday.
King, who was No. 8 on The Tennessean’s Dandy Dozen, had more than 2,000 total yards as a junior. He threw for 1,362 yards and ran for 760 more. He was part of 25 of Ensworth’s 42 offensive touchdowns.
The dual-threat quarterback also had 14 tackles and six breakups at safety. While that is where he probably will play in college, he’ll play mainly at quarterback for the Tigers this fall.
Commitments are nonbinding for the athlete or the school. King cannot sign until Dec. 20.
