Sutton has been a part of 13 total NCAA Tournaments, making it all the way to the Final Four twice and had another trip to the Elite Eight.
As Oklahoma State’s head coach, Sutton won 39 games and lost 29. He took the Cowboys to two NIT appearances.
Sean Sutton’s father is Eddie Sutton, a member of the Hall of Fame. The pair and Sean’s brother, Scott, are one of the most famous coaching families of all time. They’ve combined for 1,171 victories among the trio.
Texas Tech’s basketball program is on the rise under head coach Chris Beard. The second year head coach posted an 18-14 record in his inaugural season with the Red Raiders, but flashes of brilliance against great teams has everyone in Lubbock excited for what the future could bring.
