FSU projected to finish 11-1 by USA Today

After an 9-3 regular season in 2016, the Florida State Seminoles are projected to be even better this season.

USA Today projects the Seminoles to finish the 2017 regular season with an 11-1 record and win the Atlantic Coast Conference. This is consistent with ACC media members who also projected FSU to win the ACC. The Seminoles are one of just four teams projected to lose only one game in 2017.

Jimbo Fisher brings back his ACC Freshman of the Year quarterback Deondre Francois who was a lightning rod for the Seminoles last year. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound quarterback threw for 3,350 yards, 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions, completing 58.7 percent of his passes. This season he has been named to the Walter Camp Award (nation’s top player), Maxwell Award (nation’s top player) and Davey O’Brien Award (nation’s top quarterback) watch lists this preseason.
