Terry Allen scouts Glendale QB Alex Huston

This past Friday proved to be a historic one in the Ozarks.
Student-athletes from around the area put up big numbers. Some athletes stood out above the rest.
The American Family Insurance ALL-USA Ozarks Performers of the Week is a selection of student-athletes who stood out on the field during the week of Sept. 18-23.
For the third consecutive week, Alex Huston is on the ALL-USA Ozarks list.
This was his best performance yet.
Huston went 69 for 87 for 822 yards and nine touchdowns in Glendale’s 69-58 loss to Parkview.
That stat line broke and tied a number of national records, according to the National Federation of State High School Associations.
By throwing for 822 yards, he breaks the national record of 787, which was set by Matt Miller in Meadville, Pennsylvania, in Sept. 2015.
His 69 completions breaks the national record for most completions in a single game. He also tied the record for most attempts.
If those stats weren’t good enough, he also rushed for 17 yards and a touchdown.
The 2016 Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year has now thrown 23 touchdown passes over the past three games. The Glendale offense has scored 166 points during that span.
Springfield Catholic quarterback Tyson Riley and his dad Ozzie Riley talk about their relationship on the field.
Springfield Catholic quarterback
Tyson Riley played a perfect game through the air Friday.
Riley finished the game 6 for 6 with 121 yards and two touchdowns.
He also got it done on the ground by rushing 12 times for 153 yards and three touchdowns.
Riley is a big reason Catholic is now 5-1. They’ll travel to Hollister on Friday.
It’s safe to say that no tailback has ever run for 350-plus yards and been overshadowed by an 800-yard passing performance, but Parkview’s Blake Delacruz accomplished that feat on Friday.
Delacruz rushed 35 times for 353 yards and four touchdowns in Parkview’s loss to Glendale.
This marks the first time Delacruz has rushed for more than 300 yards this season. He has 1,376 rushing yards this season and 11 touchdowns.
Carl Junction quarterback
A week after his teammate rushed for 200 yards, his quarterback decided it was his turn to make ALL-USA Ozarks.
Joe Kennedy rushed for 164 yards and four touchdowns in Carl Junction’s 49-7 win over Carthage.
The backfield of Kennedy and his teammate, Rayquion Weston, has the Bulldogs on a five-game winning streak with Willard up next.
Hillcrest is going for the city sweep this week and Dion Davis is a big reason that’s a reality.
Davis rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns in Hillcrest’s 46-19 win over Kickapoo.
The sophomore tailback and the Hornets will travel to Parkview on Thursday.
