Gloucester Rugby social media round-up: Unusual mode of transport used by Jonny May on wedding day

There was a special wedding in the Glaws family at the weekend, an anniversary celebration while some players were enjoying some sun ahead of the new season.

Here’s a look at some of the best bits in our social media round-up…

Jonny ties the knot

Gloucester and England wing Jonny May is renowned for his searing pace but he plumped for a slower mode of transport for his wedding day.

May tied the knot with Sophie, describing it as the “best day ever” and posted a picture on Instagram kissing his new wife in front of a tractor with a ribbon tied around it and a ‘Mr and Mrs May’ sign.

Gloucester team-mate and fellow wing Charlie Sharples was best man and other members of the squad were there to celebrate the big day – or #mayday2017 – with Mark Atkinson and Jacob Rowan posing with the groom.

Many congratulations to Jonny and Sophie!

Morgans celebrate anniversary

Ben Morgan also posted some pictures from his wedding day four years ago on Twitter as he celebrated his anniversary with his wife Alice.

Players enjoy the sun

At home, the weather has been so bad that part of Kingsholm has been damaged so you can’t blame some of the players for taking the opportunity to get some sun abroad during their time off.

Ross Moriarty is still taking a break after a draining season that saw him go on tour with the British and Irish Lions before being struck by injury and he posted this picture from the Wynwood Arts District in Miami, Florida.

New signing Jason Woodward also took advantage of a few days off from training to take a trip with his wife.
