Goop’s first print magazine is here and Gwyneth Paltrow is only wearing mud on the cover

She’s literally wearing goop.

Goop’s first print magazine is here and who better to cover the premiere issue than Gwyneth Paltrow herself? Paltrow stars on the cover of the Fall 2017 issue literally wearing nothing but goop. The brand’s founder is pictured lying down and is completely naked, yet slathered in mud head to toe, except for her face.

The first quarterly issue of the print magazine, sold by Condé Nast, will be just 96 pages and will retail for $USD15. According to, the content will cover crystals, mud masks, Tracy Anderson workouts and orgasms – of course.

The cover line reads Earth to Gwyneth, which many believe is poking fun at the fact that Paltrow has been criticised for living on another planet to us mere mortals, but is also likely a clever reference to her healthy and whole lifestyle, as well as the fact she is literally covered in mud on the cover.

Paltrow herself pens a feature in the magazine; covering off the time she had bee venom injected into a scar to assist in healing. “The doctor stings you [with a live bee] like it’s an acupuncture needle. I had it done on my cesarean scar… I had some buckling in the scar, and it really evened it out.”

She also writes of the first time she ever undertook a cleanse: “I remember standing in a hippie health-food store in Greenwich Village and I saw a little paperback book describing a ‘master cleanse,’ and I was like, ‘What’s that?’ I remember the next day [after I finished the cleanse] I was like, ‘Oh, wow, I just did this cleanse, and I feel so much better. I can have a beer and a cigarette now, right?’”

You can pre-order the issue now.
