How to get a job working as a Coventry City scout – and how to apply

If you have always wanted to work for Coventry City, then you’re in luck.

The Sky Blues are currently on the hunt for three Regional Academy Scouts – and this is how you can apply.

The job will be on a casual basis, and you will report to the Head of Academy Recruitment and Academy Manager.

The scouts will be required to cover the Warwick, Leamington, Stratford areas, Bedworth/Nuneaton area, as well as Northampton and Daventry.

The roles are within the Academy Recruitment Department and you will report to the Academy Manager and Head of Academy Recruitment.

You will assist the Head of Academy Recruitment in the co-ordination and organisation of all aspects of recruitment ensuring the success of the Academy Recruitment Strategy.

As a member of the Academy Recruitment team, the post holder will develop a team of spotters and contacts within the located area, show good coverage of fixtures within the area on a weekly basis, develop a detailed understanding of the Academy Recruitment Strategy at local and regional level and follow up any leads and recommendations ensuring all avenues are explored to identify potential elite players.

You will also produce monthly communication and report along with weekly feedback on recruitment reporting programmes and be responsible for relationship building with local clubs, organisations and other relevant recruitment sources in your area.

Previous experience of scouting/recruitment in an Academy environment is essential, as is a driving licence, excellent IT and presentation skills, fully enhanced DBS and FA Talent ID Level 1.

FA Talent Identification Level 2, FA Level 2 and previous experience in a coaching role within a Academy are desirable.
