IIM-K Live starts 2nd round admission for business incubation programme | Kozhikode News

IIM-K Live (Laboratory for Innovation, Venturing and Entrepreneurship), the on- campus business incubator and entrepreneurship development centre of Indian Institute of Management- Kozhikode (IIM-K) has commenced admissions for second round of its business incubation programme.

IIM-K Live, which was established in June 2016 with the support of Department of Science and Technology (DST) of Government of India, currently has 12 startups across various sectors under its one- year long business incubation programme. Five of the existing startups are founded by IIM-K alumni.

Startups and interested entrepreneurs can apply till August 31 by registering on the website iimklive.org, IIM-K authorities said.

IIM-K Live has been supporting startups who are looking at commercialising their innovations. Apart from mentoring, Live has been helping startups in developing market strategy. DST had earlier this year sanctioned a grant of Rs 3 crore to IIM-K LIVE.

IIMK Live is envisioned to create a National Centre of Excellence, and has co-working space and offers systematic and intensive mentorship, business services, training, networking opportunity and access to funding. It is also engaged in conducting training and research in the domain of entrepreneurship, foster idea generation through competitive events and extending pre-incubation support to shape entrepreneurial ideas.
