India and US will co-host the summit which will be held from November 28-30, PM Modi tweeted, adding that he looked forward to Ivanka’s presence as the leader of the US delegation.
The visit by the American delegation of entrepreneurs to India was finalised during PM Modi’s meeting with President Trump in Washington on June 26.
“I have invited her (Ivanka Trump) to lead the US delegation for global entrepreneurship forum,” PM Modi had said while addressing the media with President Trump at the end of delegation-level talks between the two leaders.
“…And I believe she has accepted,” President Trump said in his part of the address as Ivanka nodded.
She later tweeted: “Thank you, Prime Minister Modi, for inviting me to lead the US delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India this fall.”
Delighted to have met you at the White House. Look forward to welcoming you in India for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit later this year. https://t.co/QhQUoDdFtL
