Airline Jet2 has announced that it is set to recruit for 50 positions based at Belfast International Airport.
This comes as part of a UK-wide recruitment drive to fill over 1,700 pilot, cabin crew and ground operations roles.
Jet2 is hosting a recruitment roadshow at the Maldron Hotel Belfast International Airport on Tuesday September 19.
The recruitment drive comes as part of a planned expansion for summer 2018, with a 13% increase in seat capacity and the addition of flights to Belfast from bases in Birmingham and London Stansted.
Next year’s summer programme will offer 200,000 seats to 23 destinations from Belfast International Airport.
The Belfast roadshow is targeted at those interested in pilot and cabin crew positions. Those attending the roadshow will have the opportunity to meet members of the Jet2 team and find out more about the company.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2 said: “We are delighted to be creating so many opportunities to join our award-winning team at Belfast International Airport. If you care passionately about looking after customers, we would love to see you at one of our upcoming roadshows and we look forward to welcoming you on board.”
Jet2 is in the process of expanding its fleet to include 34 new Boeing 737-800NG aircrafts between 2016 and 2019.
The airline has said it is particularly interested in recruiting first officers with experience of this type of aircraft.
As part of its summer 2018 programme Jet2 will also fly to destinations in the Mediterranean, the Canary Island and a number of cities around Europe.
All of the jobs can be viewed on Jet2’s career’s website.
