PAMPORE: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) in collaboration with Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Monday held a special entrepreneurship awareness cum orientation programme at Awantipora, Pulwama.
The programme was jointly held by Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of IUST and JKEDI for the students of management and food processing. Chief Program Officer, JKEDI, Dr. Majid Manzoor Khan, Head EDC of Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Mr. Parvaiz Ahmad Mir, JKEDI District Nodal Officer, Pulwama, Mr. Ashan Qadir, Community Organizer JKEDI, Mr. Rayees Manzoor and many entrepreneurs sponsored by JKEDI participated in the program. While the JKEDI and IUST officials spoke about different facets of youth entrepreneurship in the state, the entrepreneurs sponsored by JKEDI under its different schemes shared their experiences and with the participant students.
The speakers urged the students to take benefit of different government schemes for entrepreneurship development in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Entrepreneurship is the key to tackle increasing unemployment in the State of Jammu and Kashmir and youth have a major role to play,” said Chief Program Officer, JKEDI.
He said JKEDI and IUST shall continue to work in unison to further promote entrepreneurship and inculcate entrepreneurial mindset among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
