SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A Lysander man was arrested Saturday on charges he recorded two girls in changing rooms at Forever 21 at Destiny USA, Syracuse police said.
Thomas McNeilley, 32, of 3260 Patchett Road, was charged with two counts of second-degree unlawful surveillance, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
Syracuse police say they were called to the Forever 21 store at Destiny USA at 3:52 p.m.
When officers arrived, they were told two girls — both younger than 17 years old — had reported a man had recorded them while they were in the changing rooms, city police Sgt. Richard Helterline said. Mall security, meanwhile, was holding the suspect.
“The victims reported that the suspect used a cell phone to (record) video under or around the stalls,” Helterline said in a news release.
Police say McNeilley did not know the girls.
McNeilley was sent to the Onondaga County jail after his arrest.
