Massive recruitment drive at consultancy

A nationwide recruitment firm is expanding its workforce with 150 new roles, taking its headcount to 800 employees.

Search Consultancy, which currently employs 650 people, is bolstering employee numbers at its Glasgow, Crawley, Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh bases.

Established in Glasgow in 1987, Search Consultancy works with businesses and candidates across its six vertical markets.

The recruitment announcement follows a successful management buyout and investment from H2 Equity Partners in May 2017.

In the wake of the May deal, the business revealed its intention to build on its market position and expanding the range of services and specialisms it provides to its base of more than 3,300 clients.

The growth plans focus on a combination of increasing the number of consultants, to build on UK-wide coverage, and making selected bolt-on acquisitions.

Debbie Caswell, chief executive, said: “We are entering an ambitious and exciting phase following the MBO earlier this year and we are now delivering upon our stated intention to accelerate our growth plans.

“A Sunday Times Best Company and Platinum Investors in People, we invest heavily in our employees, ensuring they have access to career-long learning and development, an award-winning training programme, employee benefits and an exceptional support network.

“We therefore look forward to bolstering our team at locations across the UK and growing our business further.”
