Nassir Little tweets (and deletes) that he’s re-opened his recruitment

Amid all the chaos surrounding college basketball and the Arizona Wildcats on Tuesday, five-star wing Nassir Little tweeted (then deleted) that he has re-opened his recruitment.

Here’s a screenshot of the note Little included with his tweet:

The strange part is Little, a 2018 prospect, has not committed anywhere yet. He has a top five of Arizona, North Carolina, Miami (FL), Georgia Tech, and Duke.

But… it makes more sense after a tweet from Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress, which said it “became clear” that Little was Arizona-bound.

Arizona assistant Book Richardson was found to be involved in a bribery scheme by the FBI, and Givony tweeted that there’s a “decent chance” Little is among those named in the investigation.

Little was also involved with Miami, too, which the Palm Beach Post reports is “potentially” involved in this madness.

And Little’s AAU team was sponsored by Adidas, which the investigation says arranged payments to high school players and/or their families.

As mentioned earlier, Little has since deleted his tweet that announced him re-opening his recruitment (he actually tweeted and deleted twice), but none of this stuff seems like a coincidence.

247Sports does not list Arizona’s primary recruiter for Little, but Sean Miller recently had an in-home visit with Little, and the Florida native is scheduled to visit Arizona for the Red-Blue game on Oct. 20.

We’ll see if that still happens as planned.
