The Oklahoma State Cowboys are moving up in Associated Press media poll after falling last week.
The Cowboys jumped to No. 9 in the media poll released Sunday afternoon after being ranked 11th last week. Earlier, they soared to eighth in the Amway coaches’ poll after being ranked 10th last week.
The movement comes after the Cowboys dominated South Alabama, 44-7, in prime time Friday night.
Now, the Cowboys are gearing up for a big road game Saturday, traveling to visit Pittsburgh.
The Cowboys remain one of the favorites to win the Big 12, but they’ll have to get past defending champion Oklahoma first. The Sooners are surging after their 31-16 upset victory at Ohio State Saturday night.
First, the Cowboys will have to get through a few other tough opponents. They play TCU and Texas Tech in September, and if they play too loose, one of those teams could easily upset them.
Saturday’s game will be played at noon at Heinz Field.
