Older couple sought in power sports business burglaries

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man and woman who were caught on surveillance video breaking into and stealing from power sports businesses on both sides of the Red River earlier this summer.

Sherman Police Sgt. D.M. Hampton tells us the pair first burglarized Sherman Power Sports around 3:30 a.m. on July 3, making off with thousands in stolen property including helmets, riding jackets, and ATV winches.

Hampton said they believe the same couple broke into a similar business in Oklahoma later that morning.

“Jones Power Sports in Durant was broken into the same night. It was the same vehicle and suspects,” Sgt. Hampton said.

Hampton says they believe the suspects are older than you might expect.

“The suspect vehicle is a white or silver Honda Pilot (or Odyssey) with a male and female suspect,” Hampton said. “Due to the way they move about, it appears the suspects may be older adults.
