One Arrested With Fake Currency In Malda – Siliguri Times

The Vaishnav Nagar police arrested a man for possessing 30,000 INR of fake currency from the PTS More of Malda. The name of the accused has been stated as Narul Islam (38). 

Narul Islam hails from the Raildanga area of Murshidabad. It has been found that the Murshidabad and the Malda police had been searching for him since long because of his connection with the smuggling of fake currency notes.

Reports state that Narul used to collect the fake currency from the Indo-Bangladesh border areas before dealing them in Kolkata and other parts of the country.

He was caught by the police when he was at the border area with the fake currency. The 30,000 INR found in his possession were all fake notes of 2000INR.
