Pontiac Firefighters Pension Fund Board met Aug. 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The meeting was called to order at1410 hours. Board members present were Joe Hassinger, Scott Runyon, Carole Peterson and Dennis McDugle. Guests present were Bob Karls, Lyle Wilson and Paul Marchese of Marquette Associates.

Minutes from the April 10, 2017 meeting were read and approved.

Treasurers Report: Paul reviewed the market activity and the current trends and future forecast. He also discussed doing a portfolio change and gave some options. With this change, we will be adding a Van Guard Mid Cap Fund. Motion was made by Runyon to go with portfolio ‘C’, second by Hassinger, motion carried unanimously. We received some transactions from Eagle that were given to Paul for review. He stated that he will look into why we received these, they usually are sent to Marquette.

Carole went over bank activity and stated that there is a few of $20 that she will have removed.

Bills and Disbursements: Bills paid this quarter are Marquette for $3,000.00 and Eagle Asset Management for $1,842.63 along with the normal Pension payments.

Applications for benefits: None

New Business: Training at IPFA in Addison on November 3.

Money manager contract is up at the end of the year. We are going to tag onto the Police Fund to send out RFP’s once we determine a list to send to.

Next meeting is on October 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
