Rs. 1,59,000 goes missing from SBI customer’s savings account in Barpeta!

August 20, 2017: In yet another incident that has raised concerned about the security of banking systems in India, it has come to light that a huge amount of money has gone missing from a customer’s savings account in State Bank of India (SBI), Kalgachia branch, Barpeta. The situation has triggered much sensation across the state.

Tension erupted in the bank after the victim identified as Habibur Rahman found that an amount of Rupees One Lakh Fifty Nine Thousand had gone missing from his SBI savings account.

As per reports, unidentified miscreants had withdrawn the money from his bank’s account through the use of Bank’s withdrawal form. Rahman has lodged an FIR based on which police is probing on the matter.

Moreover, Rahman had accused the authorities of the bank of being careless and irresponsible because of which such a horrible incident took place.
