Mick Warner has blasted the AFL’s attitude toward the media.
The explosive comments follow Caroline Wilson’s accusation that she was bullied by a senior executive.
Speaking as a regular host of 3AW Sunday Football, Mick said the AFL has been “combative” with journalists for a long time.
“The first attitude you get from the AFL media unit is rude, arrogant, belittling, and dismissive,” the Herald Sun journo said.
Mick famously had his media accreditation denied for the 2013 finals series, at the height of the Essendon saga.
“It was clearly a message that ‘we don’t like the things you’re writing’,” he said.
“It’s something you’d expect in China or Russia.”
