JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM – On trade opening on Tuesday (8/8/2017), the rupiah against the US dollar moved higher in positive territory.
Rupiah this morning was traded up 13 points to IDR13,308 compared to the previous position of IDR13,321 against the dollar.
Binaartha Securities analyst Reza Priyambada said the sentiment on data of Indonesia’s increased foreign exchange reserves in July 2017 help keep rupiah fluctuations in the domestic foreign exchange market.
“The data on increased foreign exchange reserves will keep Indonesia’s economic growth ahead,” he said.
Bank Indonesia noted that the position of Indonesia’s foreign exchange reserves at the end of July 2017 was at $127.76 billion, higher than the position by the end of June 2017 at $123.09 billion. (*)
