Sanskrit Teacher recruitment 2017 notified in Rajasthan for 1829 vacancies

Department of Sanskrit Education, Shiksha Sankul, Rajasthan has officially released an advertisement (no. 1/2017-18) for filling General/ Sanskrit Teacher vacancy. The total number of vacancies notified for Teacher Level I (class I- V) Sanskrit/ General (Grade 3) posts are 1,829 Primary Teachers. The detailed advertisement for TSP/Non-TSP Sanskrit Teacher vacancy was released on 29th August.

The vacancies are distributed among Sanskrit and General posts in TSP and Non-TSP areas. There are 62 Sanskrit teacher posts in TSP area, 784 Sanskrit teacher posts in Non-TSP area, 64 General Teacher posts in TSP area, and 919 General Teacher posts in Non-TSP area. The Department of Sanskrit Education has decided to fill these posts through merit list prepared on the basis of RTET or REET marks.

To apply for Sanskrit teacher vacancy 2017, the aspirants should have completed Varistha Upadhyay or equivalent Sanskrit examination with Sanskrit medium and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) or 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education) or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). For General Teacher posts, the candidates should have completed Senior Secondary/ Graduation and 2 year D.El.Ed. or B.El.Ed.

Apart from minimum educational qualifications, the candidates must have qualified in the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) held in 2011 or 2012 or Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) held in 2015. The candidates must have qualified the Test with minimum 60% marks. As per the guidelines of State Government, minimum qualifying marks are 36% for ST candidates belonging to Scheduled Areas.

The application process for General and Sanskrit Teacher vacancy will begin on 14th September and continue till 13th October. The online application form will be made available on the official website on 14th September. The application fee for the General applicants is Rs. 100, whereas application fee for OBC applicants is Rs. 70 and Rs. 60 for SC/ST applicants. If a candidate aspires to apply for both General and Sanskrit Teacher vacancy, he/ she will have to fill separate applications.

The selection of the teachers will be based on RTET or REET marks. The Department of Sanskrit Education will scrutinize all the applications submitted within the prescribed dates and a merit list will be prepared by considering the marks scored by them in RTET or REET.
