Slap Bracelets Sold With Popular “Trolls” Book Have Been Recalled

Parents are being told to take away slap bracelets included with “DreamWorks Trolls: It’s Hug Time!” children’s storybooks after they have been found to cause cuts to the hands and fingers.

The slap toy is made of an inner, flexible metal band that is wrapped in a purple fabric cover with a pink fabric flower. The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall of 79,000 bracelets after receiving five reports of the metal band wearing through the fabric resulting in injuries. The ISBN for the story that the bracelet is sold with is 978-0-7944-3840-1. It can be found printed on the back of the book.
