FAIRFIELD — The In-Home Support Services Public Authority will host its final paid caregiver recruitment session for this calendar year on Wednesday.

The session will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room at 2101 Courage Drive.

“We’re working on scheduling IHSS caregiver recruitment sessions for 2018, but that is still several months away – so we’re encouraging those who want to start working right away to attend the Oct. 4 session,” Teri Ruggiero, Solano County Public Authority administrator, said in a statement released Friday by the county administration.

“Individuals with paramedical skills, including wound care, respiratory care, injections, g-tubes and catheters are desired, as well as those with the skills and desire to work with bed-bound seniors and the disabled,” she said.

The registry is seeking qualified individuals who meet the following minimum criteria, including:

  • Able to work in the U.S. and possesses a government-issued ID and Social Security card.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check for the IHSS program.
  • Willingness to assist consumers with toileting, bathing and other personal care needs.
  • Professional with excellent communication skills, flexible, team player and multitasker.
