With training camp just around the corner, the Spurs will introduce forward Rudy Gay to the media on Wednesday.
The Spurs signed Gay, 31, to a two-year contract worth a reported $17.2 million in July. The deal required the team’s mid-level exception and included a player option for the 2018-19 season.
Gay, no doubt, will field a few questions about his health. He suffered a season-ending torn Achilles on Jan. 18. He declined a $14 million option to remain with the Sacramento Kings after more than three seasons with the club.
