Bishop Kelley’s Patrick Callan, the LiveWell Oklahoma Boys Swimming Athlete of the Year, swam the first leg of the silver medal-winning United States 4×200-meter freestyle relay Saturday night at the FINA World Junior Championships in Indianapolis.
Callan, Jack LeVant, Carson Foster and Trey Freeman III were clocked in 7 minutes, 10.96 seconds. Hungary won the gold. Callan, who swims for Trident Aquatics, posted the fastest leg for Team USA, 1:47.33.
Earlier in the week, Callan placed fourth in the 200 free.
