Left-hander Michael Flores pitched four no-hit innings Monday as the Team USA 15U baseball squad rolled to a 15-0 win over Argentina to improve its record to 3-1 in pool play at the COPABE Pan Am “AA” Championships in Cartagena, Colombia.

Flores struck out 10 through four shutout frames before giving way to Michael Brooks, who allowed one hit before preserving the shutout in the five-inning, mercy-rule win.

Team USA has one more game remaining in pool play Tuesday against Nicaragua. Super Round play begins Wednesday before the medal round Saturday.

San Mateo native Petey Halpin has started in left field in the last three games, including hitting in the leadoff spot Sunday in a 5-1 win over Venezuela. Halpin is 2 for 14 with three runs scored in the tournament.
