Teen goes on stabbing spree over social media post

A social media post is allegedly to blame for a fight that injured four men at a Queens house party on Saturday night, police said.

The incident happened in the vicinity of Liberty Avenue and 115th Street around 10:20pm. Two men were stabbed and a third was struck in the head by a blunt object by a 17-year-old suspect, who also suffered contusions.

Police said the men appear to have a history of conflict. The fight was allegedly caused by an ongoing dispute related to statements made on social media.

The teen stabbed 22-year-old Shiva Balgobin, in the abdomen and Alex Murgasen, 22, in the chest after he alleges they assaulted him, police said. Both men were from Queens.

The teenager, whose name has not yet been released, has been arrested with charges pending.

The 22-year-old men were also arrested and charged with assault. It is unclear whether the fourth victim will be charged.
