Forecasters have recommended sun-seekers to make the most of Saturday and Sunday’s rays as rain will return by Monday
RAIN and floods washed over the UK this week but summer sunshine will make a welcome return this weekend.
However forecasters have recommended sun-seekers make the most of Saturday and Sunday’s rays as rain will be back by Monday.
Today’s rain showers will ease to patchy drizzle tonight as it continues southeastward overnight, lingering across southeast England by dawn.
Occasional showers will follow into northwestern parts during the night.
Despite this some clear spells will develop, though for many it will remain fairly cloudy but mild.
This weekend should see sunshine for a large portion of the country as it will brighten up with light winds and some warm sunshine.
A Met Office spokesman said of the weekend: “It’s not looking too bad.
“Tomorrow it’s going to be quite a slow start in the south of the UK, quite cloudy in the southern counties and then that will move away.
