Britain is set to bask in temperatures reaching 27C over the bank holiday weekend, with blue skies and sunshine expected across the south of England.
As thousands of revellers make their way to Notting Hill Carnival today, highs of 25C are expected across London, rising again on Monday.
Upwards of two million people are expected to attend this year’s festival, which takes place every August bank holiday in the Royal Borough of Kensington, west London.
Meanwhile, bright and pleasant spells are expected across Wales and the north west, with temperatures reaching 21C in Cardiff and Manchester.
In Scotland and Northern Ireland the picture is a little bleaker, with some cloud and drizzle expected throughout the day.
