USA comes from 20-points down in second half, beats Argentina, win Americup

Team USA was not filled with names of international stars promoting their shoe line. In this Americup in Argentina, it was Damian Hillard and Jameel Warney and Xavier Munford.

Team USA was down 20 in the second half, but Jeff Van Gundy’s squad started to run, got 21 points from Warney, and came back to win 91-86. The Americans won the Americup title. Team USA did that despite some shooting struggles and they did it with plays like this:

Next up, this USA squad of D-Leaguers and guys playing in Europe will enter the World Cup qualifying. FIBA changed the timeline and has the qualifying weekends during the NBA season, which means NBA players are off the table. So this team was formed with Van Gundy coaching, and so far so good.

The first round of World Cup qualifying is in November, when this team will be back on the court. So far so good, but the biggest tests are ahead.
