Virginia Tech’s ACC schedule will be handful, it was revealed on Thursday.
The Hokies, coming off of their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2007, have four fellow NCAA Tournament qualifiers as their home-and-home opponents on the 18-game slate — ACC Tournament champion Duke, Louisville, Miami and Virginia.
Virginia, which finished 23-11 and won one game in the NCAA Tourney, also gets two games with Louisville, along with the Hokies, Georgia Tech and Syracuse — neither the Yellow Jackets nor the Orange played in the NCAAs last season.
As far as other ACC home games, the Hokies will be welcoming defending national champion North Carolina, Florida State, Clemson, N.C. State and Pittsburgh.
Previous nonconference games that have been announced for Virginia Tech include a road game with Kentucky and a preseason tournament matchup with Saint Louis.
Virginia also gets UNC at home, as well as ACC Tournament champion Notre Dame, N.C. State, Boston College and Clemson.
