Water tech firm Xylem cutting upto 85 jobs from Dallas plant | Jobs

Water technology company Xylem is cutting as many as 85 jobs from its Dallas manufacturing facility, according to a filing with the Texas Workforce Commission.

Kelly McAndrew, a spokeswoman for the Rye Brook, N.Y. company, said those jobs will be moved to plants in Morton Grove, Ill. and Auburn, N.Y.  Other jobs  — an unknown number — will remain at the Dallas facility, which makes water transport systems, turf irrigation, pressure boosters and filtration equipment.

The job cuts are expected in September, and could be less than the 85 reported to the state. The affected plant is located off of Northwest Highway near Interstate 35E.
