Nurses who are passionate about end-of-life care are needed to join specialist teams at Woking and Sam Beare Hospices .
The hospice will be running a recruitment fair giving potential candidates the chance to find out more about working for the charity.
On the day interested candidates can see the new facility, which opened in May 2017 , meet the clinical team with leading experts in palliative care, and experience first-hand the environment that the patient-centred charity has created for its patients, families, carers and staff.
Kelly Beckta, the hospice’s deputy director of nursing, said: “We are looking for nurses who are passionate about end-of-life care in both the community and in an in-patient setting, who embrace evidence based practise to provide the best patient focussed care possible.”
She continued: “Everyone from our housekeeping team all the way up to the chief executive are really compassionate and highly motivated to deliver the best care possible to the hundreds of patients and their families that we look after each year.
“This is definitely more than a job and every day we can go home knowing that we’ve made a real difference to someone’s life.”
The charity, which has an onsite education centre led by sector experts , offers educational support via its in-house practice development team and opportunities to attend palliative care modules.
The recruitment fair takes place at the hospice off Denton Way on Wednesday September 13.
