ONE of Redditch’s leading recruitment firms has appointed two local apprentices to help boost the firm’s digital media offering.
Workforce Recruitment, based in Church Green West, has boosted the local jobs market by taking on 18-year-old Jacob Beard and Codie Walker, 19.
Currently studying Extended Diplomas, the marketing apprentice pair, both from Redditch, are already playing an active role in helping to shape Workforce’s social and digital media.
Paul Alekna, Workforce Recruitment’s chief executive, said: “Jacob and Codie both have a great pathway to take them onto full-time roles in our marketing team once their courses have finished.
“Every company needs an injection of new ideas and both Jacob and Codie bring those, while they are willing to learn and understand how the business works.
“Understanding how to best use social and digital media is a big part of what both apprentices will be doing in the future. It’s so vital, especially in the recruitment industry, to be ahead of any trends and be communicating with our customers on their terms and on the platforms they’re using.
“I’ve no doubt they have a big role to play in how we market ourselves and communicate with customers in the future.”
The two apprentice appointments come only weeks after Workforce announced the firm had opened new branches for the first time in Solihull and Birmingham city centre.
Based in Redditch, Workforce has nine recruitment centres in total.
These are in Redditch, Worcester, Kidderminster, Rugby, Northampton, Coventry, Solihull, Birmingham and at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
Formed in 2003, the firm specialise in supplying staff for sectors including logistics, transport, professional services, office, food manufacturing and manufacturing.
