Warangal Urban: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), organised a one-day workshop titled ‘Entrepreneurship and emerging trends’ for B Tech students at its campus on Saturday.
KITS director Y Manohar said the workshop was aimed at training students to become entrepreneurs.
VP Student Relations, iB Hubs, Shiva Shankar said the workshop encourages youth towards entrepreneurship and emerging technologies and helps in creating awareness among youth on innovation, entrepreneurship and emerging technologies. He said they were conducting the workshop under the banner of ‘Power To India’ across the nation.
Students gained insights on how to come up with innovative ideas and the importance of entrepreneurial mindset. They were excited to know about emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality, Cyber Security and Data Analytics. They learnt about opportunities around them.
The session received an overwhelming response. Nearly 300 students from various colleges including Aurora’s Research and Technological Institute, Talla Padmavathi College of Engineering, Vaagdevi College of Engineering, Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, and Ganapathy Engineering College, participated in it.
Principal PVenkateswar Rao also spoke at the workshop. EDC chief coordinator P Srikanth was also present.
